CANOPY TOURS – Hacienda Baru (www.haciendabaru.com)

BARU A 800 acre National Wildlife refuge. Its mission is to preserve its natural resources and educate visitors about its biological wealth. It is located 38 kilometers north of hotel Villas Gaia (about a thirty minutes drive) on the road to Quepos - Manuel Antonio. (tours start at: 8:00am, 11:00am, 2:00pm).

CANOPY OBSERVATION PLATFORM TOUR
This tour is about experiencing the tranquil world of the tree tops, taking in the views and the flora and fauna. The canopy observation platform is located within the top branches of a beautiful Camaron tree, 34 meters (112 feet) above the ground. You don't have to do any work as we will hoist you up to the platform with an electric winch. An experienced bilingual naturalist guide will be with you on the platform. This tour lasts 3 hours.

TREE CLIMBING TOUR
Ascend through the different layers of the rainforest canopy with an experienced naturalist guide to a height of 112 feet (35m) above the forest floor using special equipment and techniques. Includes guides, instructions in basic climbing methods and safety, equipment. Duration 3 hours, including a 30 minute hike to the tree.

THE FLIGHT OF THE TOUCAN
Zip from one ridge top to another across valleys and streams!
This tour starts with providing instructions and equipment for the adventurous rainforest zipline tour. After that you will start hiking through the rainforest with two experienced, bilingual naturalist guides. After a 20 minute hike you will get to the first cable. Eight separate cable rides take you from one ridge top to another. There are fourteen based platforms and one tree platform which has a view of the coastline.
This tour is a great way to see and learn about the rainforest and get a thrill at the same time. The tour lasts approximately three hours
