Skype Me™!

Some examples of what we were able to accomplish in 2008:
  • Implement our own Recycling program of all the organic and non organic waste!

  • Transform a Jungle-beach trail into an Ecological trail, an unforgettable learning experience for us.

  • Change all the detergents and disinfectants in 100% biodegradable products.

  • Start an Ecological Program with the School of Ojochal to share our learning experience with the more than 80 children of the school, to learn more about the flora and fauna of our natural environment. Themes so far: Friends of the Mangroves, Friends of the Tortugas. See the results of this project  at the Reception.

  • Start a project with the Boruca community in which we strengthen our help, not only with offering space for direct sales of their artesenias, as we always have done during the years, but  to promote their culture and products actively to our guests with the intention to increase the income of the Boruca community.

We invite you to:

  • Partipate in our  Recycle Program, managed by Augustin and ProVerde. At the entrance of the hotel you find a recycle centre where you can leave your recyclable waste, like plastic, paper and aluminium. In your room you will find two waste disposals, one for recyclable waste, the other for disposable waste. If you are interested in visiting our recycle center and talk with the person in charge, please ask the reception.

  • Participate in our commitment to energy and resource conservation. Energy conservation helps reduce the effects of global warming, acid rain, smog and protects our natural resources. Here is how you can help:

Our standard is to change your bed linen every second day and at check out. If you would like your sheets changed sooner, we will gladly accommodate you. Just ask the Reception.

Please switch of the lights, ventilator and air conditioning when you leave your casita.

Every day, tons of detergent and millions of gallons of water are used to wash towels that have been used once. Therefore:
A towel on the rack means ‘I’ll use it again’. A towel on the floor means ‘’please exchange’.

  • Walk our Ecological Trail with the auto guide (available at the reception) and the Garden Trail and enjoy and appreciate the natural surroundings as much as we do.

  • Give a donation for the Boruca Foundation or better visit them! For more information ask the Reception.

  • Give us your opinion and ideas!
